Subaru of America, Inc. attempts to connect with current and prospective Subaru customers by reaching them through events, activities, and causes that fuel their passions. Sponsorships provide consumers with opportunities to interact with the Subaru brand and Subaru vehicles in a way that isn’t possible through conventional marketing.



Project Acceleration: The Subaru Impreza Collegiate Challenge

Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) partnered with five American colleges and universities through EdVenture Partners to become involved in junior/senior-level marketing or communications courses on each campus. Participating students developed and implemented comprehensive promotions plans for the 2007 Subaru Impreza on their college campuses. The campaigns consisted of pre– and post–research, public relations, advertising, online promotions, and one event during the semester.

The top two schools – Emory University and the University of Southern California – were invited to present their campaigns to the SOA marketing department and executives. Emory was awarded first place and USC second. SOA made a financial donation to each of the winning schools.
