The 2009 Subaru Forester has won the top award for highest residual value as determined by Automotive Lease Guide (ALG). In addition, ALG awarded Subaru of America, Inc. for being the second-highest brand for residual value.
The Compact Utility Vehicle award means that ALG predicts Forester will retain the highest percentage of its original price after a conventional three-year lease term. Award winners are determined by studying the competition in each segment, historical vehicle performance, and industry trends. Vehicle quality, production levels relative to demand, and pricing strategies are among key factors affecting residual value forecasts.
By awarding the Subaru brand, ALG reinforces the Subaru attributes of durability, reliability, safety, and value, and it serves as an indicator of the Subaru brand’s overall strength in the market.
