Legacy 2.5-Liter Turbocharged Engine Among 10 Best for 2010
The 2.5-liter turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine in the Legacy 2.5GT was among this year’s winners for Ward’s 10 Best Engines. Engines were scored based on torque (258 lb-ft), horsepower (265), refinement, technical relevance, and comparative data.
“This year’s list embodies how the industry is responding to demand for higher fuel economy and lower emissions without shortchanging performance,” said Ward’s AutoWorld Editor-in-Chief Drew Winter.
The award as one of Ward’s 10 Best Engines was the second for Subaru, which won with the 2004 WRX STI.
