You’re on the road, far from home, when you puncture a tire and it goes flat. What do you do? Just press the blue OnStar Services button. Within seconds, an OnStar advisor will contact roadside help with your location so you can get back on the road safely and quickly.

The OnStar system seemed like a great safety and convenience feature when you purchased your new six-cylinder Subaru Outback. But now that you have it, what exactly is it all about?



OnStar provides you with personal communication and information services while you are in your vehicle by combining technologies of cellular phones, a Global Positioning System and the OnStar Call Center.

At the touch of a button, your OnStar advisor can pinpoint your vehicle’s location and provide you with a range of helpful services, such as alerting the police and emergency vehicles if you’re in an accident.



Should an air bag deploy, your vehicle will automatically send a priority signal to the OnStar Call Center with its location. An advisor will attempt to contact you to assess the nature of your emergency and then notify the necessary emergency services provider.

Live, Personal Service

The OnStar Call Center is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with knowledgeable OnStar advisors. If your Subaru vehicle has this feature, and you haven’t used it, give it a try. If you’re unsure about your vehicle’s OnStar capabilities, simply press the blue OnStar button and your advisor will explain the system features to you.
