Snowboarding: Powder-Packed Poetry

With its roots in skateboarding and surfing, snowboarding began development in the mid-1960s. Today, approximately 3.5 million people have taken up snowboarding worldwide, and it became a sport in the Winter Olympics in 1998. Former professional snowboarder Cody Dresser discusses his sport and what it feels like to snowboard down a mountainside freshly covered with snow.
