Winter 2011 Forward to a Friend

Dear Subaru Landing Page

WRITING TO DEAR SUBARU

When it snowed last January, the city shut down. As a result, a few Subaru buddies got a ‘free pass’ from work and decided to search out some fun. We had many powerslides, donuts and other shenanigans that day.

We are now on Subaru’s number 4-7, shown with their owners in this photo (03, 06, 07 and 09). My first Subie was a ’79, and the last 6 have all been Outbacks. We are a skiing family – nordic and alpine – and we ALL love the Outback as the perfect skier car: sure-footed, safe, comfy, reliable, and just the right size for stowing those precious skis (and lots of other stuff!) in the back.

SUBARU DRIVERS LOVE THEIR VEHICLES, AND THEY OFTEN WANT TO SHARE THEIR SUBARU EXPERIENCES. DEAR SUBARU – A SPECIAL AREA ON THE SUBARU WEBSITE – GIVES OWNERS A PLACE TO GO TO SHARE THEIR STORIES AND POST PHOTOS AS WELL AS TO SEE WHAT OTHERS HAVE SUBMITTED.

WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

If you have a passion for your Subaru, you’re not alone. It’s a common condition among Subaru owners.

That passion sparks a desire to share your Subaru story. What would the subject of yours be? Do you yearn to tell others about a vacation where your Subaru took you somewhere you couldn’t reach in an ordinary vehicle? Are you constantly amazed by the utility of your Subaru? Do you compete in local autocross or rallycross events with it? Or do you run errands with your pets in your Subaru? Has your Subaru protected you in an accident?

If it has to do with your Subaru, it qualifies for submission!

If you have the itch to write about your Subaru experience, you can do so at www.subaru.com/dearsubaru.

SHARE YOUR STORY

On the Dear Subaru page, click “Share Your Story.” Then you’ll be asked for your name, address, e-mail address, and other information. Some of it is required in order to post your story once you’ve submitted it to Subaru.

You have up to 750 characters (including spaces) in which to tell your tale. Go for the essentials! (Great short story writers have been following this direction for centuries!)

Then attach an image (JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, or BMP format) of up to 5 MB in size.

Terms and conditions for submitting your story include granting Subaru of America, Inc. nonexclusive rights to use it. Please consult all terms and conditions on the website before submission.

We at Subaru look forward to reading about your Subaru experiences.
